Barangay Asinan Poblacion

Barangay Asinan Poblacion forms part of Subic, a municipality in Zambales, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Asinan Poblacion had a population of 1,072. This made it the 16th largest of 16 barangays in Subic by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Asinan Poblacion accounted for approximately 0.96% of the total population of Subic, which stood at 111,912 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,212 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,072 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -11.6%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Asinan Poblacion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Subic is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Asinan Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
