Barangay Pamatawan

Barangay Pamatawan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Subic, located in the province of Zambales, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pamatawan had a population of 4,923. This made it the 10th largest of 16 barangays in Subic by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pamatawan accounted for approximately 4.40% of the total population of Subic, which stood at 111,912 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pamatawan moving from 4,292 residents to 4,923 residents, an intercensal change of +14.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pamatawan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Subic is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pamatawan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
