Barangay Trinidad

Situated in Tagbina, Surigao Del Sur, Barangay Trinidad is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within Caraga.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Trinidad had a population of 482. This made it the 25th largest of 25 barangays in Tagbina by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Trinidad accounted for approximately 1.17% of the total population of Tagbina, which stood at 41,051 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Trinidad changed from 508 to 482, a shift of -5.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Tagbina. Barangay Trinidad is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tagbina is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Trinidad, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Surigao Del Sur, which contains 309 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Trinidad ranks 297th by 2020 population.
