Barangay Villaverde

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Villaverde is one of the administrative divisions of Tagbina in Surigao Del Sur, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Villaverde had a population of 2,083. This made it the 7th largest of 25 barangays in Tagbina by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Villaverde accounted for approximately 5.07% of the total population of Tagbina, which stood at 41,051 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Villaverde changed from 2,121 to 2,083, a shift of -1.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Tagbina. Barangay Villaverde is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tagbina is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Villaverde, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
