Barangay Bamban

Situated in Tagkawayan, Quezon, Barangay Bamban is one of 45 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bamban had a population of 1,634. This made it the 10th largest of 45 barangays in Tagkawayan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bamban accounted for approximately 3.03% of the total population of Tagkawayan, which stood at 54,003 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bamban changed from 1,603 to 1,634, a shift of +1.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Tagkawayan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bamban as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
