Barangay Ambalayat

Barangay Ambalayat forms part of Tagudin, a municipality in Ilocos Sur, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ambalayat had a population of 2,012. This made it the 3rd largest of 43 barangays in Tagudin by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ambalayat accounted for approximately 4.84% of the total population of Tagudin, which stood at 41,538 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Ambalayat moving from 1,861 residents to 2,012 residents, an intercensal change of +8.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
