Barangay Bario-an

Barangay Bario-an is a small barangay in the municipality of Tagudin, located in the province of Ilocos Sur, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bario-an had a population of 539. This made it the 35th largest of 43 barangays in Tagudin by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bario-an accounted for approximately 1.30% of the total population of Tagudin, which stood at 41,538 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bario-an moving from 594 residents to 539 residents, an intercensal change of -9.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Bario-an is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
