Barangay Bitalag

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Bitalag is one of the administrative divisions of Tagudin in Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bitalag had a population of 1,322. This made it the 8th largest of 43 barangays in Tagudin by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bitalag accounted for approximately 3.18% of the total population of Tagudin, which stood at 41,538 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bitalag moving from 1,184 residents to 1,322 residents, an intercensal change of +11.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Bitalag is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
