Barangay 3 (Pob.)

Barangay 3 (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Talakag, located in the province of Bukidnon, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay 3 (Pob.) had a population of 1,467. This made it the 23rd largest of 29 barangays in Talakag by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay 3 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.90% of the total population of Talakag, which stood at 77,027 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay 3 (Pob.) changed from 1,703 to 1,467, a shift of -13.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Talakag. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay 3 (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Talakag is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay 3 (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bukidnon, which contains 464 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay 3 (Pob.) ranks 325th by 2020 population.
