Barangay Dimalinao

Barangay Dimalinao is a very small barangay in the municipality of Tambulig, located in the province of Zamboanga Del Sur, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Dimalinao had a population of 447. This made it the 27th largest of 31 barangays in Tambulig by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dimalinao accounted for approximately 1.19% of the total population of Tambulig, which stood at 37,480 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Dimalinao moving from 403 residents to 447 residents, an intercensal change of +10.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Dimalinao is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tambulig is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dimalinao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
