Barangay Danlag

Barangay Danlag is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Tampakan, located in the province of South Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Danlag had a population of 3,445. This made it the 4th largest of 14 barangays in Tampakan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Danlag accounted for approximately 8.40% of the total population of Tampakan, which stood at 41,018 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Danlag moving from 3,194 residents to 3,445 residents, an intercensal change of +7.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Danlag is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tampakan is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Danlag, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
