Barangay Lampitak

Barangay Lampitak is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Tampakan, located in the province of South Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lampitak had a population of 2,750. This made it the 7th largest of 14 barangays in Tampakan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lampitak accounted for approximately 6.70% of the total population of Tampakan, which stood at 41,018 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lampitak moving from 2,840 residents to 2,750 residents, an intercensal change of -3.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Lampitak is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tampakan is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lampitak, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
