Barangay Rizal Norte

Barangay Rizal Norte is a very small barangay in the municipality of Tapaz, located in the province of Capiz, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Rizal Norte had a population of 315. This made it the 55th largest of 58 barangays in Tapaz by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Rizal Norte accounted for approximately 0.58% of the total population of Tapaz, which stood at 54,423 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Rizal Norte moving from 247 residents to 315 residents, an intercensal change of +27.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Rizal Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tapaz is a municipality comprising 58 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Rizal Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Capiz, which contains 473 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Rizal Norte ranks 463rd by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
