Barangay San Pedro

Barangay San Pedro forms part of Tapaz, a municipality in Capiz, and is classified as a very small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Pedro had a population of 464. This made it the 47th largest of 58 barangays in Tapaz by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Pedro accounted for approximately 0.85% of the total population of Tapaz, which stood at 54,423 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 454 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 464 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay San Pedro is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tapaz is a municipality comprising 58 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Pedro, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Capiz, which contains 473 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Pedro ranks 448th by 2020 population.
