Barangay Wright

Barangay Wright is a small barangay in the municipality of Tapaz, located in the province of Capiz, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Wright had a population of 1,292. This made it the 12th largest of 58 barangays in Tapaz by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Wright accounted for approximately 2.37% of the total population of Tapaz, which stood at 54,423 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Wright moving from 1,035 residents to 1,292 residents, an intercensal change of +24.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Wright is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
