Barangay Limas

Barangay Limas is a small barangay in the municipality of Tigbao, located in the province of Zamboanga Del Sur, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Limas had a population of 1,116. This made it the 6th largest of 18 barangays in Tigbao by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Limas accounted for approximately 5.15% of the total population of Tigbao, which stood at 21,675 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Limas moving from 924 residents to 1,116 residents, an intercensal change of +20.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Limas is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
