Barangay Nilo

Situated in Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur, Barangay Nilo is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nilo had a population of 1,607. This made it the 4th largest of 18 barangays in Tigbao by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nilo accounted for approximately 7.41% of the total population of Tigbao, which stood at 21,675 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Nilo moving from 1,630 residents to 1,607 residents, an intercensal change of -1.4%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community.
