Barangay Coro-coro

Barangay Coro-coro is a small barangay in the municipality of Tiwi, located in the province of Albay, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Coro-coro had a population of 1,826. This made it the 14th largest of 25 barangays in Tiwi by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Coro-coro accounted for approximately 3.24% of the total population of Tiwi, which stood at 56,444 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Coro-coro moving from 1,747 residents to 1,826 residents, an intercensal change of +4.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Coro-coro as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tiwi is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Coro-coro, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
