Barangay Gajo

Situated in Tiwi, Albay, Barangay Gajo is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Gajo had a population of 1,624. This made it the 17th largest of 25 barangays in Tiwi by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Gajo accounted for approximately 2.88% of the total population of Tiwi, which stood at 56,444 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Gajo moving from 1,536 residents to 1,624 residents, an intercensal change of +5.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Gajo as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
