Barangay Joroan

Barangay Joroan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Tiwi, located in the province of Albay, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Joroan had a population of 3,005. This made it the 4th largest of 25 barangays in Tiwi by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Joroan accounted for approximately 5.32% of the total population of Tiwi, which stood at 56,444 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Joroan moving from 2,741 residents to 3,005 residents, an intercensal change of +9.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Joroan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
