Barangay Banayal

Situated in Tulunan, Cotabato, Barangay Banayal is one of 29 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Banayal had a population of 1,816. This made it the 11th largest of 29 barangays in Tulunan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Banayal accounted for approximately 2.98% of the total population of Tulunan, which stood at 60,978 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,786 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,816 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.7%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Banayal is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tulunan is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Banayal, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
