Situated in Tulunan, Cotabato, Barangay Daig is one of 29 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Daig had a population of 1,589. This made it the 16th largest of 29 barangays in Tulunan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Daig accounted for approximately 2.61% of the total population of Tulunan, which stood at 60,978 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,430 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,589 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Daig is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
