Barangay Galidan

Situated in Tulunan, Cotabato, Barangay Galidan is one of 29 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Galidan had a population of 1,742. This made it the 14th largest of 29 barangays in Tulunan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Galidan accounted for approximately 2.86% of the total population of Tulunan, which stood at 60,978 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Galidan changed from 1,680 to 1,742, a shift of +3.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Tulunan. Barangay Galidan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tulunan is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Galidan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
