Barangay Bual

Barangay Bual forms part of Tulunan, a municipality in Cotabato, and is classified as a large barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bual had a population of 6,114. This made it the 2nd largest of 29 barangays in Tulunan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bual accounted for approximately 10.03% of the total population of Tulunan, which stood at 60,978 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 5,564 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 6,114 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Bual is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Tulunan is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bual, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cotabato, which contains 543 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bual ranks 31st by 2020 population. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
