Barangay Tigpalay

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tigpalay is one of the administrative divisions of Tungawan in Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tigpalay had a population of 2,230. This made it the 5th largest of 25 barangays in Tungawan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tigpalay accounted for approximately 4.80% of the total population of Tungawan, which stood at 46,497 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tigpalay moving from 2,112 residents to 2,230 residents, an intercensal change of +5.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
