Situated in Ubay, Bohol, Barangay San Vicente is one of 44 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

This made it the 32nd largest of 44 barangays in Ubay by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Vicente accounted for approximately 1.47% of the total population of Ubay, which stood at 81,799 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,056 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,204 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +14.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Vicente as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
