Barangay Sentinila

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Sentinila is one of the administrative divisions of Ubay in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sentinila had a population of 1,033. This made it the 35th largest of 44 barangays in Ubay by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sentinila accounted for approximately 1.26% of the total population of Ubay, which stood at 81,799 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 939 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,033 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Sentinila is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Ubay is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sentinila, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bohol, which contains 1,109 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Sentinila ranks 503rd by 2020 population.
