Barangay Luna Weste

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Luna Weste is one of the administrative divisions of Umingan in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Luna Weste had a population of 854. This made it the 45th largest of 58 barangays in Umingan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Luna Weste accounted for approximately 1.11% of the total population of Umingan, which stood at 77,074 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 836 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 854 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +2.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Luna Weste as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Umingan is a municipality comprising 58 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Luna Weste, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Luna Weste ranks 1230th by 2020 population.
