Barangay Prado

Situated in Umingan, Pangasinan, Barangay Prado is one of 58 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Prado had a population of 1,288. This made it the 26th largest of 58 barangays in Umingan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Prado accounted for approximately 1.67% of the total population of Umingan, which stood at 77,074 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Prado moving from 1,112 residents to 1,288 residents, an intercensal change of +15.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Prado as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Umingan is a municipality comprising 58 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Prado, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
