Barangay Resurreccion

Barangay Resurreccion is a small barangay in the municipality of Umingan, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Resurreccion had a population of 662. This made it the 52nd largest of 58 barangays in Umingan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Resurreccion accounted for approximately 0.86% of the total population of Umingan, which stood at 77,074 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Resurreccion moving from 801 residents to 662 residents, an intercensal change of -17.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Resurreccion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Umingan is a municipality comprising 58 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Resurreccion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Resurreccion ranks 1294th by 2020 population.
