Barangay Buenavista

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Buenavista is one of the administrative divisions of Viga in Catanduanes, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Buenavista had a population of 839. This made it the 10th largest of 31 barangays in Viga by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buenavista accounted for approximately 3.67% of the total population of Viga, which stood at 22,869 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Buenavista changed from 779 to 839, a shift of +7.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Viga. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Buenavista as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
