Barangay Mabini

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Mabini is one of the administrative divisions of Viga in Catanduanes, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mabini had a population of 406. This made it the 26th largest of 31 barangays in Viga by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mabini accounted for approximately 1.78% of the total population of Viga, which stood at 22,869 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Mabini changed from 396 to 406, a shift of +2.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Viga. Barangay Mabini is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Viga is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mabini, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
