Barangay Nabago

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Nabago is one of the administrative divisions of Zamboanguita in Negros Oriental, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Nabago had a population of 1,261. This made it the 9th largest of 10 barangays in Zamboanguita by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nabago accounted for approximately 4.26% of the total population of Zamboanguita, which stood at 29,569 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Nabago changed from 1,113 to 1,261, a shift of +13.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Zamboanguita. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Nabago as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Zamboanguita is a municipality comprising 10 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Nabago, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
