Barangay Nasig-id

Barangay Nasig-id is a small barangay in the municipality of Zamboanguita, located in the province of Negros Oriental, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nasig-id had a population of 1,482. This made it the 8th largest of 10 barangays in Zamboanguita by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nasig-id accounted for approximately 5.01% of the total population of Zamboanguita, which stood at 29,569 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Nasig-id changed from 1,389 to 1,482, a shift of +6.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Zamboanguita. Barangay Nasig-id is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
