Barangay Maribulan

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Maribulan is one of the administrative divisions of Alabel in Sarangani, SOCCSKSARGEN, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Maribulan had a population of 7,299. This made it the 4th largest of 13 barangays in Alabel by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Maribulan accounted for approximately 8.27% of the total population of Alabel, which stood at 88,294 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Maribulan changed from 6,526 to 7,299, a shift of +11.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Alabel. Barangay Maribulan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Alabel is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Maribulan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Sarangani, which contains 141 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Maribulan ranks 15th by 2020 population.
