Barangay Tokawal

Situated in Alabel, Sarangani, Barangay Tokawal is one of 13 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

This made it the 12th largest of 13 barangays in Alabel by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tokawal changed from 3,422 to 3,398, a shift of -0.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Alabel. Barangay Tokawal is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
