Barangay Paraiso

Situated in Alabel, Sarangani, Barangay Paraiso is one of 13 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Paraiso had a population of 2,139. This made it the 13th largest of 13 barangays in Alabel by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Paraiso accounted for approximately 2.42% of the total population of Alabel, which stood at 88,294 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Paraiso changed from 2,307 to 2,139, a shift of -7.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Alabel. Barangay Paraiso is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Alabel is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Paraiso, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
