Barangay Dao-angan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Dao-angan is one of the administrative divisions of Balbalan in Kalinga, CAR, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dao-angan had a population of 603. This made it the 11th largest of 14 barangays in Balbalan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dao-angan accounted for approximately 4.67% of the total population of Balbalan, which stood at 12,914 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Dao-angan moving from 616 residents to 603 residents, an intercensal change of -2.1%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dao-angan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Balbalan is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dao-angan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
