Barangay Bugtong

Barangay Bugtong forms part of Barcelona, a municipality in Sorsogon, and is classified as a very small barangay.

This made it the 23rd largest of 25 barangays in Barcelona by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bugtong moving from 430 residents to 453 residents, an intercensal change of +5.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Bugtong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Barcelona is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bugtong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
