Barangay Ibag

Situated in Barugo, Leyte, Barangay Ibag is one of 37 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

This made it the 34th largest of 37 barangays in Barugo by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Ibag changed from 433 to 396, a shift of -8.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Barugo. Barangay Ibag is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Barugo is a municipality comprising 37 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ibag, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
