Barangay Roosevelt

Barangay Roosevelt is a small barangay in the municipality of Barugo, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Roosevelt had a population of 890. This made it the 19th largest of 37 barangays in Barugo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Roosevelt accounted for approximately 2.58% of the total population of Barugo, which stood at 34,497 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Roosevelt moving from 775 residents to 890 residents, an intercensal change of +14.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Roosevelt as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
