Barangay Santarin

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Santarin is one of the administrative divisions of Barugo in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santarin had a population of 1,291. This made it the 8th largest of 37 barangays in Barugo by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santarin accounted for approximately 3.74% of the total population of Barugo, which stood at 34,497 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Santarin moving from 1,208 residents to 1,291 residents, an intercensal change of +6.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
