Situated in Bataraza, Palawan, Barangay Malihud is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Malihud had a population of 2,306. This made it the 14th largest of 22 barangays in Bataraza by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malihud accounted for approximately 2.70% of the total population of Bataraza, which stood at 85,439 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Malihud moving from 2,112 residents to 2,306 residents, an intercensal change of +9.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
