Barangay Puring

Barangay Puring is a small barangay in the municipality of Bataraza, located in the province of Palawan, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Puring had a population of 1,390. This made it the 18th largest of 22 barangays in Bataraza by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Puring accounted for approximately 1.63% of the total population of Bataraza, which stood at 85,439 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Puring moving from 1,293 residents to 1,390 residents, an intercensal change of +7.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Puring is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
