Barangay Malitub

Barangay Malitub is a small barangay in the municipality of Bataraza, located in the province of Palawan, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Malitub had a population of 970. This made it the 21st largest of 22 barangays in Bataraza by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malitub accounted for approximately 1.14% of the total population of Bataraza, which stood at 85,439 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Malitub moving from 701 residents to 970 residents, an intercensal change of +38.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Malitub is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bataraza is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Malitub, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
