Barangay Rio Tuba

Classified as a very large barangay, Barangay Rio Tuba is one of the administrative divisions of Bataraza in Palawan, MIMAROPA Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Rio Tuba had a population of 24,085. This made it the 1st largest of 22 barangays in Bataraza by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Rio Tuba accounted for approximately 28.19% of the total population of Bataraza, which stood at 85,439 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Rio Tuba changed from 21,330 to 24,085, a shift of +12.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Bataraza. Barangay Rio Tuba is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Bataraza is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Rio Tuba, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
