Barangay Tagnato

Situated in Bataraza, Palawan, Barangay Tagnato is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tagnato had a population of 944. This made it the 22nd largest of 22 barangays in Bataraza by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tagnato accounted for approximately 1.10% of the total population of Bataraza, which stood at 85,439 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tagnato changed from 1,037 to 944, a shift of -9.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Bataraza. Barangay Tagnato is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bataraza is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tagnato, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
