Barangay Magtanggol (Pob.)

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Magtanggol (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Bongabon in Nueva Ecija, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Magtanggol (Pob.) had a population of 1,437. This made it the 23rd largest of 28 barangays in Bongabon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Magtanggol (Pob.) accounted for approximately 2.15% of the total population of Bongabon, which stood at 66,839 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Magtanggol (Pob.) changed from 1,715 to 1,437, a shift of -16.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Bongabon. Barangay Magtanggol (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
