Barangay Bagumbang

Situated in Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental, Barangay Bagumbang is one of 28 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bagumbang had a population of 2,091. This made it the 3rd largest of 28 barangays in Bonifacio by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagumbang accounted for approximately 6.05% of the total population of Bonifacio, which stood at 34,558 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bagumbang moving from 2,061 residents to 2,091 residents, an intercensal change of +1.5%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Bagumbang is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bonifacio is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bagumbang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
