Barangay Casugad

Barangay Casugad is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Bula, located in the province of Camarines Sur, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Casugad had a population of 4,281. This made it the 3rd largest of 33 barangays in Bula by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Casugad accounted for approximately 5.85% of the total population of Bula, which stood at 73,143 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Casugad moving from 4,028 residents to 4,281 residents, an intercensal change of +6.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Casugad as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bula is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Casugad, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
